Getting bored with your simple phone
cases? Why not remodel your phone case? There’s no reason why you have to have
a cellphone case that looks like everyone else’s. Just about everyone is carrying around the
same phone these days, so it gets a little difficult to stand out. Designing and
creating your personalized cellphone case to suit your own tastes is
an interesting way of showing a little bit of your own personality every time
you pull out you’re phone to make a
call. So whether you are a creative genius or you just like to have a go, there
are heaps of ways of making your own cellphone case personalized just for
you.
You
will need and prepare:
Pressed dried flower
Flat, solid phone case (any color)
Flat and level work surface
Parchment paper or magazine will do
Clear craft glue
Tape
Scissors
1 wooden sticks (Popsicle stick)
1 clear plastic cup
Q-tips
Weighing Scale
Acetone
POLYKLEAR Clear Casting Resin
POLYKLEAR Hardener
Glitter (optional)
Tupperware
STEP 1.
ARRANGE THE FLOWER
Let’s get started
by placing your flowers on your phone case and arrange it as you desire. If you
want to add lots of flower see to it that they don’t file up higher 1.55mm
approximately or you won’t be able to properly coat the phone case in the
resin. Once you have found your desire arrangement and look, take a picture or
snapshot for reference. Then remove the flowers and set aside.

STEP 2.
ATTACHED THE FLOWER
Dab a small amount of glue on the flower and
carefully glue it in the case. Follow suit with the rest of your flowers until
your arrangement is complete.

STEP 3.
PREPARE THE RESIN
Make sure you are in well-ventilated
area. Cut a piece of parchment paper or
magazine paper with your scissors and tape it in your flat work surface to
avoid mess. Have your wooden stick ready for stirring. Pour 10 grams of resin
in clear plastic cup, then add 1 gram of hardener.

Then start to stir the contents of the cups
using your wooden stirrer for about 2 minutes. Make sure to scrape the side of
the cups. If you like to add a glitter, sprinkle some and mix it now
(optional).

STEP 4.
POURING RESIN
Pour slowly a small
amount of resin at the center of your phone case.

Then, spread the
resin close to the edge of your phone case using your wooden stick or Popsicle
stick. Make sure that the resin does not go over the edge. Add more resin to
the phone case until the entire back of the flowers are covered. If bubbles
will appear just lightly blow.

Set the phone
case aside and cover it with Tupperware to protect it from dust and insects
until it dries. If any resin spills on the edge, dip Q-tips in acetone and wipe
clean.
Once your first
coat of resin is dried, examine your phone case to make sure all of your
flowers are properly coated. Add a second coat if needed.
