Fiberglass
is a component for making the body of vehicles like cars, boats and
motorcycle because aside that it is lightweight, it also contributes
to the sturdiness of the whole material.
The
Giant Lantern Festival in San Fernando, Pampanga, Philippines is held annually
on the Saturday before Christmas Eve. This was to honor President

The star had been part of the Filipino Christmas celebration. This was based on the star during the birth of Jesus Christ with which the said "three kings" followed to the Saviour's manger. Philippine
Lantern had been using Papel de Hapon and in the progress, colored
plastic to decorate these elaborate lanterns until 2010 when the
first fiberglass-made lantern was introduced through San Pedro's entry to the contest.
2012's Giant Parol Festival will be held on the 15th of December at Robinson Starmills 2012 Lantern Festival Set. This will be an exciting wait to see which barangay uses fiberglass in their ginormous lantern display and jive it with dancing lights!
