Giant Lantern Festival in San Fernando, Pampanga, Philippines is held annually

plastic to decorate these elaborate lanterns until 2010 when the
first fiberglass-made lantern was introduced through San Pedro's entry to the contest.
2012's Giant Parol Festival will be held on the 15th of December at Robinson Starmills 2012 Lantern Festival Set. This will be an exciting wait to see which barangay uses fiberglass in their ginormous lantern display and jive it with dancing lights!
